The management of cleft lip and/or palate abnormalities requires a multidisciplinary approach, well-defined algorithms for age-appropriate reconstructions, and skilled Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons capable of treating not only the initial lip and palate repairs but also the secondary reconstructions and any complications. This expert panel will discuss the surgical management of secondary disorders including fistula repair, cleft septorhinoplasty, alveolar bone grafting, and surgical treatment of velopharyngeal dysfunction.
