Ranging from the business of running a practice, hiring, staff development, advertising, good media use practices, assessing a practice, pricing, retirement planning, using technology to operate more efficiently, relationships, consultations, academic medical practice, management in ambulatory settings, tips for the first 10 years of practice and many others, these sessions were designed to provide the current thinking of experts in the field. Many presentations incorporated video clips and sound clips to illustrate points. All used PowerPoint presentations to convey concepts. The series was chaired by Richard D. Gentile, MD, MBA. In order to fit on a single DVD, presentations only are provided. Introductions and discussions were not included due to space and time considerations. The total program series fits on one DVD and is of extremely good quality. The Academy does not promote a particular business philosophy and the opinions and experiences of the presenters represent their experiences.
